Not sure how to chat in our
rooms? Here you will find a detailed road map to your chat.
Upon the room door
you will have several fields to fill out to before you can
go in.

- Screen name is where you will enter in the name
you wish to enter the room in. This is where you would
put in your html codes for how you want your name
to appear or if you want to use an avatar.

- Entrance is the post that
will show up when you go into the room. (Gem enters
and looks around..) Most rooms have pre-entrance
posts already in place and can be changed.
|
- History allows you to
enter the room and show you the posts previously posted
before you entering the room.
|
- No pic gives you the option
for turning pictures (Avatars) on and off. In some
cases people turn pictures off if they do not have
a fast connection or if they do not want people in
their back ground to see what is being used by others
|
- Enter....push it and it
will take you inside..

Wait...one more step before
you go in

- If you are a member of
the site, you would then put in your user name and
password here.
|
- If you are not a member,
then any user name and password will suffice.
|
Woot! you're here! Now what?
|
- The default pull down
is say's to. It is not special emote. You can click
on that option to find one of two things
- Emotes - a short cut way
to put actions into your post without having to type
it. (Gem gently nudges)
- Locations - Shows where
you or other people are in the room. Be mindful of
the room you are going into. Some of them require
so many "posts" though the locations to
get to one spot.

- All - is the default,
when selected this will allow you to direct your post
to someone else.
- Reload - Reloads the chat
room. Use this instead of the reload on your browser.
- Leave/Travel - Allows
you to leave the room or go into another room.
- Submit - posts your post
in the main body of the chat room.
- Dice - Allows you to roll
dice as a post in the room. Not all rooms have this
function.

- Full Config takes you
to the above page. It allows you to change your settings
while you are in the room.
- Ignore - When you select
a person from this list you will no longer be able
to see their posts in the room.
- Enable Moderator - (Only
used for Moderators of the site) Allows a Moderator
to put their boots on.

- Verbose - Places a horizontal
rule between each post. Makes the conversation easier
to follow.
- Disable all pictures -
Like the selection on the door, it will turn pictures
on or off.
- Auto scroll - Makes the
room scroll automatically.
- Show login - Adds your
login name to the timestamp.
- Display messages - Like
the history on the door, it allows you to go back
posts that have already been made.

- Quick config - Is a quicker
version of the configuration. It will only pop up
in the top window, and it has all the same options
except for allowing you to change your screen name.
